Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree, and two years full-time administrative assistant/secretarial experience or legal assistance experience are required OR Graduation from high school or GED equivalency, and four years full-time administrative assistant/secretarial experience or legal assistance experience may be substituted for the required education. Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, etc.) in a networked office setting, and internet navigation are required. College course work may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required experience. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer excellent communication skills, and demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment with the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy, collaboration, and problem solving skills.

Duties: The Senior Administrative Assistant position is a full-time career service position. The Senior Administrative Assistant position is complex and requires a high degree of responsibility for interdepartmental coordination and public interface. The Senior Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to the Executive Assistant to the President, and assist in the preparation of documents for the members of the Board of Trustees, and correspondence for the President’s signature. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, the following: scheduling meetings; preparing agendas; attending meetings and recording minutes; preparing on-line purchase requisitions, budget amendments, travel requests, and various other forms; establishing and maintaining office files, department records, correspondence, and related reports; processing personnel and payroll documents to appropriate departments before required deadlines; maintaining administrative records related to the departmental functions. The Senior Administrative Assistant must exercise judgment and discretion concerning confidential matters and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and independently. This position may require working flexible hours and occasional travel to assist the supervisor. This position reports to the Executive Assistant to the President.
Salary: $22,660.00 ($11.58/hour)
