ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST – JOB #2746

The Accounting Specialist position is a full-time career service position. The Accounting Specialist will participate in a variety of advanced and complex accounting tasks involving the maintenance of financial records and the processing of related data for the Foundation Office. The Accounting Specialist will audit requisitions and vouchers; budget amendments for accuracy and completeness; reconcile discrepancies; maintain budget controls; evaluate accounting processes; and make recommendations to improve efficiencies. The Accounting Specialist will coordinate and communicate with employees on P-card purchases and interact with college personnel and vendors on financial records. This position reports to the Director, Finance and Business Operations.

PSYCHOLOGY INSTRUCTOR – JOB #2742

The Psychology Instructor position is a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position with an anticipated start date of August 2020. The successful candidate will teach general psychology and other psychology related courses as assigned. This position requires effective teaching and advising of diverse students, excellent oral and written communication skills, and commitment to the comprehensive state college mission.  The instructor will prepare course plans and materials, effectively deliver subject matter content, monitor student attendance and progress, participate on departmental and College committees, participate in curriculum development, support activities that foster retention, participate in the selection of textbooks, assess student learning outcomes, and take part in other service and professional development activities.  Multiple campus, day, evening, and distance learning teaching assignments are possible. This position reports to the Department Head, History, Languages, Social Sciences, and Education.

GENERAL ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST – JOB #2745

The General Accounting Specialist position is a full-time career service position. The General Accounting Specialist will prepare monthly reconciliation and review outstanding purchase orders, reconcile and post cash receipts and check requisitions, prepare journal entries and budget amendments, transfer funds, and maintain a variety of related records. The General Accounting Specialist will investigate invoice discrepancies, prepare check requisitions for payments, process payments, daily/monthly cash flow balancing, daily/monthly balancing master account file, and process returned and stale-dated checks. This position reports to the Coordinator, General Accounting.

ASSOCIATE COORDINATOR, STUDENT ACCOUNTING – JOB #2744

The Associate Coordinator, Student Accounting position is a full-time career service position.  The Associate Coordinator, Student Accounting will supervise and perform a variety of advanced and complex accounting tasks involving the maintenance of financial records and the processing of related data, process requisitions, reconcile accounts, post ledgers, create and input journal entries, and budget amendments, and prepare checks and submit regular and specialized accounting reports. The successful candidate will serve as the trainer on One Step (cashiering system) and front windows duties, serve as interface with department staff to obtain information to verify or support financial records and to answer inquiries concerning accounting procedures, provide exceptional customer service by answering student inquiries, researching and explaining student accounts and assessing situations that may need to be escalated to a supervisor, supervise and coordinate the activities of support staff, and monitor work performance for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with established departmental standards. This position will be primarily located at the Pensacola Campus but may be assigned to work at various campuses in support of student enrollment at the College, and require availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.  This position reports to the Bursar.

BIOLOGY INSTRUCTOR – JOB #2749
